Carnival Cruise Line - Carnival Venezia
The MJM team boarded the Venezia to complete the transformation of spaces on the vessel and support its conversion from the Costa brand to the new Costa by Carnival concept.
The drydock spanned over four weeks at Navantia in Cadiz, Spain, with the crew working on significant areas across multiple decks with a range of refurbishment, specialist joinery and finishing solutions, delivered with impeccable craftmanship and seamless installation.
Project highlights include:
- Crew Lounge: Outfitting the new Senior Officer's room and new Admin Office with banquette seating, tables, catering units, and handwash station.
- Marco Polo Restaurant: Revamping of the Maître D station.
- Beauty Salon: Installation of a pedicure wall, a manicure station, TV surrounds, retail displays, and floating and fixed storage cabinets.
- Carnivale Lounge: Floor and ceiling refinishing and mechanical and electrical workings for the new Carnivale Lounge concept. The new area will be seen across the Vista-class ships with their introduction into the Carnival fleet, combining contemporary styling with a classical Italian backdrop.
- Gondola Lounge: Reconfiguration of the restroom with sink and countertop upgrades, new bulkhead and corridor finishes, fitting of new carpet across the entire space, and works to Gondola frame, tables, and service cabinet elements.
- Pixels Studio: Extension of iPad Corian shelf and various tapered iPad shelves and reworking of service hatches within existing furniture to accommodate IT upgrades.
- Arcade: Carpet installation, ceiling refinishing, and mechanical and electrical workings.
- Spa: Refurbishment of Treatment rooms and execution of new Spa area concepts including VIP treatment room, a feature experience shower, a Skin Lab, Botox room upgrades, feature columns and Italian-styled plaster finishes.
- Gym: Updating of finishes to the flooring while making the area ADA compliant.
- Terrazza Cabins: Upgrading various elements to cabin spaces as part of the new Vista Class concept. These include wood-effect headboards, upholstered soft linings, curtains and sheers, fridge installations, new carpet throughout, and the addition of hammocks on the outer deck areas.
- Pax Cabins: Guest to crew cabin conversions. 2050 fridge and joinery surrounds installed across all decks and ADA cabin modifications to ensure compliance with regulations.
