Royal Caribbean - Oasis of the Seas
In 2014 MJM completed one of the largest contracts given to a single contractor in the marine industry. This was the complete redesign and fit-out several areas on the world’s largest cruise ship at the time, Oasis of the Seas.
With a timeframe of 14 days, MJM successfully completed the project two days ahead of schedule. This amounted to over 175,000 man hours, taking place over 12 ship decks. During this refurb, MJM refitted a variety of spaces, from crew cabins to mega suites, principle dining rooms, designer retail stores and numerous other public spaces. The total area covered was more than 8000m2, almost two full-size football pitches.
Such was the positive feedback from Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, MJM was awarded a further contract for similar work on the sister ship of Oasis, Allure of the Seas.
