Charity of the Year
Every year, the Social, Health, and Wellbeing Committee at MJM selects a charity to support through a range of fundraising initiatives. Our efforts reflect our commitment to giving back to the community and making a positive impact.
2024: Marie Curie
This year, we are raising funds for Marie Curie, an organisation renowned for its work in providing care and support to people living with terminal illnesses and their families. Marie Curie nurses offer in-home care, while their hospices provide expert palliative care. Additionally, the charity offers information and support to help patients and families navigate the challenges of terminal illness.
2023: The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust
In 2023, we dedicated our fundraising efforts to The Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust, raising £17,150. This charity provides invaluable assistance to families who have lost loved ones abroad, ensuring their remains are repatriated home to Ireland. The trust offers both financial support and practical assistance during incredibly difficult times, helping families navigate the complexities of bringing their loved ones back home.
2022: Air Ambulance NI
In 2022, we raised £23,120 for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland. This vital service provides rapid response medical care, saving lives by delivering advanced treatment at the scene of incidents and transporting patients swiftly to hospitals. Air Ambulance NI is crucial for ensuring that those in critical condition receive the urgent care they need, often in life-threatening situations.
