MJM Group had the pleasure of welcoming Madame Wang, the Chinese Consul General to Belfast, to our HQ in Newry today.
During the visit, we highlighted the refit of the Star Pisces which MJM Group completed in January in China and gave Madame Wang and her delegation a tour of our production facilities.
Welcoming Madame Wang Mr Gary Annett, MJM Group Chief Executive, said: “We are delighted to welcome Madame Wang and her colleagues to MJM Group and to strengthen our relationship with China. The cruise industry within China has been growing substantially with forecasts predicting that some 7- 10 million passengers will cruise from China by 2030. As a result, cruise companies are commissioning new ships and refurbishing existing liners for their Chinese customers which is where the opportunities for MJM Group lie.
We were delighted to complete our first ever dry dock in China in January 2018 for Star Cruises during which we carried out a series of works in 15 separate areas across 5 decks of the Star Pisces which included the transformation of casinos, restaurants and retail areas. It was an honour to showcase this project to Madame Wang.”
Madame Wang’s visit coincided with the launch of MJM Group’s Mandarin website.
“With our focus on business in China, we have created a Mandarin version of our website to allow customers, suppliers and stakeholders communicate better with us,” adds Gary. “Our Chinese marketplace can now access our website on www.mjm-group.cn.”
